WAEC Releases Provisional Results for 2025 WASSCE School Candidates

    The West African Examinations Council has released the provisional results of candidates who sat for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School Candidates. The results for the Ghana version of the examination have been uploaded to the Council’s online portal, and heads of schools have received login credentials to access results for their students. Candidates may also check their individual results on the official results platform

    WAEC warned candidates and guardians to be alert and avoid fraudulent individuals who claim they can upgrade results for a fee. The Council emphasized that all results are secured in its database and can be authenticated through the official verification system.

    According to the Council, a total of 461,736 candidates registered for the 2025 examination. This includes 207,415 males and 254,321 females from 1,021 schools, representing a 0.24% increase over the 460,611 candidates who entered for the 2024 WASSCE. WAEC added that 5,821 candidates were absent, which accounts for 1.26% of the total entry.

    Performance in Core Subjects

    WAEC provided a detailed analysis of candidates’ performance in the core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, and Social Studies.
