“The future of banking will belong to institutions that combine technology with trust,” he stated. “We are preparing banking professionals not only to embrace digital transformation but to do so anchored in professionalism, integrity, and strong ethical values.”

This year’s theme, “Building Future-Ready Banks: Ethical Leadership, Sustainable Finance and Currency Stability,” reflects CIB Ghana’s renewed commitment to promoting competence, integrity, and visionary leadership across the banking ecosystem.

The Institute’s curriculum reforms now incorporate emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, open banking, cybersecurity, and sustainable finance to keep pace with global trends.

“The next decade will test the preparedness of Ghana’s banking and finance industry,” Mr. Dzato noted. “Institutions that invest in people, ethics, and strategic innovation will define the future.”

The 2025 Bankers’ Week began with a health and fitness event dubbed “Sports for Life” at the Athletics Oval, University of Ghana. The event featured cancer and mental health awareness sessions, alongside sporting activities such as football, basketball, volleyball, and board games.
