The Member of Parliament for Adaklu and alumnus of Mawuli School, Hon. Governs Kwame Agbodza, has called on past and present students of the institution to continue upholding the legacy and values that have defined the school for decades. Speaking during the school’s 75th anniversary celebration on Saturday, October 25, 2025, the MP urged all “Mawulians” to work together to strengthen the school’s reputation as a centre of excellence in character, intellect, and service.

Delivering his address, Hon. Agbodza emphasized the need for collective responsibility in maintaining the school’s tradition of producing “men and women of head, heart, and hands.” He encouraged the old students’ association, current administration, and stakeholders to contribute meaningfully toward infrastructural development, mentorship, and academic excellence.

“Let’s build a Mawuli School that will continue to produce men and women of head, heart, and hands,” he said. “We must each play our part to ensure that the values of discipline, hard work, and integrity that were instilled in us remain the foundation of this great institution.”

The 75th anniversary celebration, themed “Sustaining Excellence and Integrity in Education for National Development,” drew a large gathering of dignitaries, alumni, students, and education stakeholders. The event highlighted the school’s achievements since its establishment in 1950 and outlined ongoing projects aimed at modernizing facilities to meet 21st-century educational standards.

Hon. Agbodza commended the staff and management for their dedication and urged students to remain focused on academic and moral growth. He also called for stronger partnerships between government, alumni, and private organizations to support educational development in the Volta Region.
