Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo, renowned as “Kantanka, the African Star,” has sadly passed away. The Safo family, along with the Kristo Asafo Church, announced that he died peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

In a statement, the family expressed their profound sorrow, stating, “With deep grief, we announce the peaceful passing of Ghana’s beloved man of God, a remarkable technological innovator, philanthropist, agriculturalist, and industrialist.”

Described by his family as a “true genius, a beacon of hope for many, and a father to the fatherless,” his contributions to society have left a lasting impact.

The statement, signed by his daughter and former MP Sarah Adwoa Safo, indicated that funeral arrangements would be announced in due course. The family has requested that the public respect their privacy during this difficult time.
