Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, has announced that all road projects under the government’s ambitious ‘Big Push’ infrastructure programme will officially commence by the end of August 2025.

The only exception, he noted, is the proposed Dambai-Krachi bridge across the Volta Lake, which is still undergoing technical assessments.

Projects to Span Two Years Nationwide

Speaking on a radio interview, Mr. Agbodza stated that every other component of the Big Push agenda is set to break ground by August’s close. He explained that the Dambai bridge may begin with site preparations, but full construction will require additional geological investigations.

“All Big Push projects must be on site by the end of August, except one, which may not fully start – that is the Dambai bridge,” he said.

He further clarified that the initiative is designed for swift delivery, with all projects deliberately structured to be completed within a two-year timeline.
