The family of the late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has officially announced plans to hold a book of condolence and a candlelight vigil in Accra. This comes amid an overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers, and tributes from fans and the public following news of his passing after a brief illness.
In a public statement issued on July 27, 2025, the Fosu family expressed deep appreciation for the national and international show of solidarity. “We are touched by the depth of affection and reverence shown to our beloved,” the statement read. “Daddy Lumba meant so much to so many people, and we thank everyone for celebrating his life and legacy.”
