Prophet Arrested for Doom Prophecy About Shatta Wale

In a shocking turn of events, Prophet D. Y. Donkoh, known for his controversial predictions, has been arrested after foretelling the death of popular Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale. This incident took place late on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the prophet’s residence.

The arrest follows a viral video where Prophet Donkoh claimed to have received two visions concerning Shatta Wale. In his first vision, the artist narrowly escaped an attack and expressed gratitude on social media. However, the second vision painted a grim picture, suggesting that Shatta Wale was shot and killed by three armed men.

Arrest

The prophecy ignited outrage from Shatta Wale, who promptly took to social media platform X to voice his disapproval. He labeled such predictions as extremely dangerous and urged the Ghana Police Service to take immediate action. In a passionate post, he issued a one-week ultimatum for the prophet’s arrest, warning that failure to do so would compel him to respond in a manner aimed at teaching a lesson to the country, though he assured it would not involve violence.

Men of God indeed. This is what Dampare supported and it escalated. Ghana Police, if you don’t arrest this man within one week, nobody should blame me for what I am capable of doing and it won’t be violence but a lesson to this country,” Shatta Wale stated.

Arrest

This is not the first time Shatta Wale has faced a death prophecy. Back in 2021, a similar occurrence led him to fake his own death, which resulted in his arrest for causing public panic. This history adds an extra layer of complexity to the current situation, emphasizing the tension surrounding prophecies in Ghanaian culture.

The arrest of Prophet D. Y. Donkoh serves as a reminder of the impact of prophetic statements on public figures and their followers. As this story develops, it raises important questions about the responsibilities of those who claim to have divine insights and the effects of their words on society.
