Minister of Agriculture to Attend Canada-Ghana Agribusiness Summit in Saskatoon

Accra, Ghana – May 20, 2025 – The Ministry of Food and Agriculture is pleased to announce that the Honorable Minister of Agriculture, Eric Opoku, will attend the Canada-Ghana Agribusiness Summit 2025 as Guest of Honour. The summit will be held from July 14 to 15, 2025, at Innovation Place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.

The event is jointly organized by Global Entrepreneurship Network-Ghana (GEN-Ghana) and Voazok Agritours Inc. (Canada), and is expected to be a landmark gathering of agribusiness leaders, investors, policymakers, researchers, and entrepreneurs from both countries.

About the Summit

This two-day summit is designed to foster cross-border collaboration, investment, and innovation within the agribusiness sectors of Ghana and Canada. It will feature keynote speechespanel discussionsworkshopsexhibitionsnetworking sessions, and business matchmaking activities, each focusing on crucial themes in the agriculture sector.

The Minister is expected to hold bilateral engagements with Canadian policymakers, agribusiness executives, investors, and international development agencies during his visit, focusing on technology transferagricultural trade, and strategic investment.

Ghana’s delegation will include top officials from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, private sector agribusiness executives, and agri-tech entrepreneurs. Ghanaian businesses will also showcase their products and explore opportunities to expand into the Canadian agriculture market.
