The public feud between two prominent New Patriotic Party (NPP) figures — Hon. Kennedy Agyapong and Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye — has escalated, with Kennedy Agyapong hitting back harder in the latest exchange.
In a no-holds-barred response, Hon. Agyapong accused Abronye of ingratitude, claiming he has supported him both financially and materially over the years. The Assin Central MP and businessman said he could no longer stay silent while Abronye tries to tarnish his hard-earned reputation.
“I have fed him, I have given him cars, and yet today, this is how he repays me?” Agyapong fumed. “I will not sit down and watch Abronye destroy my name in just a few minutes.”
He revealed that at one point, Abronye called him in distress, alleging that former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia had brought a contender from the Northern Region to unseat him. In response, Agyapong claims he generously gifted him GH¢480,000 to help him fight back and retain his position.
