Ghanaian business mogul Richard Nii-Armah Quaye, CEO of Bills Microcredit, has shared a glimpse into his early struggles before achieving financial success. Speaking in an interview with Bola Ray, he revealed that he once washed up to 5,000 dishes daily as part of his journey to the top.
The entrepreneur also disclosed details about his personal life, stating that he is currently single following a recent divorce.
“I wash as many as about 5,000 dishes a day,” he recalled, highlighting the hard work that shaped his business empire.

The Bugatti Chiron, one of the world’s most expensive luxury cars, was also cleared from Tema Port, with an estimated value between $3 million and $4 million.

“Acquiring a private jet and a Bugatti is not a problem, but if this is how Jamestown—where you hail from—looks, then please, I’m sorry.”
He went on to compare him to Ashanti businessmen, who he claimed focus on developing their communities rather than extravagant spending.
Bongo Ideas further added:
“Jamestown is one of the most impoverished suburbs in Accra. Why not dedicate your birthday to fixing it? Instead of purchasing exotic personal items, why not clear the entire seashore, relocate all the dwellers to a better location, and provide basic amenities like toilets and sanitary facilities?”
