For the first time in its history, the Reggae Land festival in the United Kingdom is expanding from a two-day event into a three-day celebration, driven by overwhelming fan demand and rapid ticket sales. Organisers recently announced that global music superstar Burna Boy will headline the newly added opening night on Friday, July 31, 2026, marking his first appearance at the festival and setting the tone for what promises to be its biggest edition yet.

The expansion follows a record-breaking sellout of the festival’s original weekend passes for Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2, 2026, which sold out within 24 hours after tickets went on sale in early February. Due to this unprecedented demand, organisers decided to add a Friday performance to accommodate more fans and enhance the overall experience at the Milton Keynes National Bowl venue in England.

Burna Boy’s debut and festival lineup

Burna Boy’s appearance at Reggae Land marks a significant milestone for both the artist and the festival. The Grammy Award-winning Nigerian singer and songwriter, known for blending Afro-fusion, dancehall and hip-hop influences, will launch the event with his Friday night set. Fans can expect to hear mega-hits such as Last Last, Ye and City Boys, which have dominated airwaves and streaming charts worldwide. Burna Boy’s global appeal and energetic performance style are expected to draw even larger crowds and set a vibrant tone for the weekend.

Reggae Land 2026 promises an ambitious and diverse lineup that celebrates a wide range of Caribbean music genres. Over 120 artists are scheduled to perform across seven stages, showcasing roots reggae, dancehall, dub, jungle and carnival sounds.

The festival’s Saturday main stage features the world debut of The King and The Royals, a supergroup uniting dancehall legend Beenie Man and reggae group Morgan Heritage in a historic collaboration. Other Saturday acts include popular performers such as Tarrus Riley, Konshens, Kranium, Barrington Levy and Jah9.

Reggae

On Sunday, fans will witness the Reggae Land debut of dancehall icon Vybz Kartel, alongside performances by Shenseea, Shaggy, Super Cat, Inner Circle and Mo’Kalamity and The Wizards.

In addition to the main stage, the festival features a One Love Stage dedicated to roots and culture sounds, a Dancehall Stage with energetic performances from artists such as T.O.K, Charly Black, Stylo G, Cham and Serani, and a Bob’s Bar Stage that pays tribute to reggae roots through lovers rock and classic reggae sets.

The Jungle Stage adds another dimension to the experience, with a lineup featuring General Levy, Jungle Cakes, Ed Solo, Deekline, Benny Page and more, blending bass-driven beats with reggae and carnival energy.

Growth and cultural significance

Reggae Land has quickly become one of the United Kingdom’s most culturally significant music festivals since relocating to the Milton Keynes National Bowl in 2023. The outdoor venue, with a capacity of approximately 65,000 attendees per day, offers expansive space for enthusiasts of all ages and blends immersive music experiences with Caribbean food villages, markets and cultural showcases.

The festival’s move to a three-day format not only reflects its rising popularity but also underscores its evolution into a major platform for global reggae, dancehall and related musical cultures. By expanding the schedule, organisers hope to cater to more fans, provide additional performance opportunities for artists and elevate the festival’s profile among international music events.

Organisers have confirmed that while weekend passes for Saturday and Sunday have sold out, ticket prices and availability for the newly added Friday show with Burna Boy will be announced at a later date. All age groups are welcome, with children under 18 required to attend with a guardian.

As Reggae Land embraces its new three-day format with Burna Boy leading the charge, the festival is set to deliver an unforgettable celebration of Caribbean music, culture and global musical fusion in the summer of 2026
