Vice President highlights film industry as key driver of Ghana’s creative economy

Ghana’s Vice President has reaffirmed government commitment to the development of the film industry, describing it as a vital pillar of the country’s creative economy. He said the sector has the potential to create jobs, promote Ghanaian culture, and attract international investment.

Speaking at a national film related event, the Vice President emphasized that storytelling through film plays a significant role in shaping national identity and projecting Ghana’s image globally. He called on stakeholders to collaborate in strengthening production quality, distribution networks, and talent development.

The Vice President acknowledged the challenges facing filmmakers, including funding constraints and limited infrastructure. He assured industry players that government is working on policies to improve access to financing and expand training opportunities.
