Everton have officially joined the list of clubs vying for the signature of Ghanaian international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, as the Toffees look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.

According to Sky Sports News, Everton’s recruitment team has been closely monitoring Issahaku, who is currently contracted to Leicester City until 2029. The move comes after the club’s failed pursuit of Southampton winger Tyler Dibling, despite multiple offers earlier in the transfer window.

Issahaku’s career trajectory has been one of rapid growth. The 22-year-old winger began his professional journey with Steadfast FC in Ghana, later moving to Dreams FC, before catching the eye of Portuguese giants Sporting CP. His performances in Portugal paved the way for his eventual transfer to Leicester City, where he became a key creative outlet in their Championship campaign.

Last season, despite missing several months due to a knee injury sustained in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola in November, Issahaku still managed to record 6 goals and 13 assists in 40 appearances — an impressive return that underlined his playmaking ability and flair on the ball.

Everton, under their current transfer strategy, are seeking multiple winger signings to add depth and unpredictability to their attack. Sources suggest that Issahaku’s pace, vision, and crossing ability make him an ideal candidate to complement their forward line.

However, Leicester City, who are pushing for an immediate return to the Premier League, may be reluctant to part ways with one of their most promising players unless a significant offer is made.
